Terms & Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to all deliveries from chioniso.com.

The terms are valid in cases where no other written agreements between you as buyer and chioniso.com as the seller take place. 

It is important that you read these terms and conditions carefully before ordering any products from the chioniso.com website. Your purchase of products via the chioniso.com website will be governed by the terms and conditions specified. By ordering any Products, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions.

Before placing an order for products you must read and agree to be bound by these terms & conditions.

Your Account

If you create an account (personal user identification or username) on the chioniso.com website, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username and password and for restricting access to your password.

Order Processing

Once you have submitted your order(s) using the chioniso.com website, Chioniso will send you an email acknowledging receipt of your order(s) (“Order Receipt Confirmation”) and setting out details of the ordered Product(s).

Delivery

Chioniso offers delivery throughout Denmark via GLS, DOA and PostNord

Delivery prices are between  10 kr. – 15 kr. depending on whether you opt to pick up your package from a collection point or delivery it at your private address.

Delivery in Denmark: 3-5 business days.

If you do not receive the ordered item within normal delivery, please contact us so that we can get the package requested from the shipping company.

You can check the status of your shipment through the Track & Trace number received at the time of purchase.

For international deliveries within Europe, Chioniso arranges delivery through GLS and PostNord (unless otherwise noted). Delivery within Europe is 2-6 workdays. GLS and PostNord deliver during normal business hours Monday to Friday. 

The shipping costs start at DKK 50 and may vary according to each country. The shipping cost for your country will display upon check-out.

You can check the status of your shipment through the Track & Trace number received at the time of purchase.

Payment

The customer is responsible for the correct name, address, and email. You can pay with the following credit cards: VISA, Maestro, and Mastercard.

Payment will be deducted from your card balance upon shipment of goods.

 All prices are in DKK and include VAT. 

Chioniso uses encryption for credit card information through the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol. This ensures that others cannot intercept the credit card number or other information during the transaction.

We don not charge card fees.

Law

Chioniso applies Danish law.

Return Policy

As a consumer, when you buy from us, you have a 14-day cooling-off period, in which you have the right to cancel the purchase.

This cooling-off period expires 14 days after the day on which you received your goods. If you have ordered several items in the same purchase, and they are delivered separately, the period runs from the day you received the last item.

The period means that you have 14 days after receiving the goods to let us know that you want to cancel the purchase. You can send an e-mail to sales@chioniso.com, use our returns page, or make use of the standard cancellation form, which you will find at the end of the terms of business clearly indicating that you wish to exercise your cancellation rights. 

You may not exercise your cancellation rights by refusing delivery without notifying us directly.

Returning part of an order

If your order contains more than one item, you may return one or several items, even if they were bought in a single order.

Please note that delivery costs will not be refunded.

Returning the goods

When you have informed us that you are cancelling your purchase, you have 14 days to return the goods to us.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Please note that you are responsible for the goods until they are delivered to us.

The state of the item when you return it to us

If the value of the item is reduced, and the reason is that you have used it in any way beyond what was necessary to check the type and properties of the item and how it works, then only part of the purchase sum can be refunded to you. The amount that can be refunded depends on the saleable value of the item, and in certain cases, this may mean that only the freight charges can be refunded.

We recommend that you return the item in its original packaging. If the original packaging is missing it may reduce the value of the item.

Refund of the purchase sum

If you cancel a purchase, you will get your money back. If the value of the article is reduced, we will deduct the amount you are liable for.

We refund all payments received from you, including delivery costs (which does not apply, however, to extra delivery costs if you have chosen a form of delivery other than the cheapest standard form of delivery which we offer), not later than 14 days from the day when we have received your notification that you want to cancel the agreement.

We will return the money by the same means of payment that you used for the purchase unless otherwise agreed.

We may hold back the payment until we have received the article unless you send the documentation that you have returned it.

Right of Complaint

When you trade with us as a consumer, the Danish Sale of Goods Act applies. This means that you have a right to complain within 24 months. Please contact us before you return the article.

This covers defects from components or manufacture discovered through normal use. The right of complaint does not cover defects, damage or wear caused directly or indirectly by incorrect use, poor maintenance, use of force, or unauthorised repair.

Complaints about defects, which should be discovered during the normal inspection, and must be reported to Chioniso within a reasonable time after you have discovered the defect. If you complain within two months after discovering a defect, it will always be regarded as being within a reasonable time

If your complaint is approved, it means that you may either have the right to get the item repaired or replaced. In some cases, we will refund the money or make a reduction in the original price; depending on the specific situation.

If the complaint is justified, we will refund your freight costs (within reason). The article must always be returned in suitable packaging. Remember also to obtain a receipt for dispatch, so that we can pay back your freight costs.

Please note that we do not accept collect on delivery shipments. To expedite the refund process, we request that returned goods contain sufficient information, such as order confirmation, any correspondence, and account information.

Privacy Policy

We collect, register and process the following types of personal data about you:

We register and pass on the personal details which are necessary to deliver the goods to you.  

The personal data is collected and processed for the following purposes:

  • Processing of orders, including the shipment of purchased products, filling out the package label with your name and address, etc.
  • Sending you information via email and SMS when your delivery has been shipped
  • Statistics and analysis for internal development and improvement of Chioniso’s offers

Chioniso is the brand trading name for House of African Jewellers CVR: 33524730. House of African Jewellers is responsible for the data collected by Chioniso. Your data is stored for five years, after which it is deleted.

In addition, we work with a number of other companies who store and process data. These companies process the data exclusively on our behalf, and must not use them for their own purposes.

Our distributors are only given access to your personal data to the extent necessary to process and ship your order.

We work only with data processors in the EU or in countries where your data will be given adequate protection.

Upon your request, we will always inform you about which information we have registered about you. If you believe the details are inaccurate, you are entitled to have them corrected. In certain situations, we are obliged to delete your personal data if you ask us to do so.
